About Us
Hawaii Cat Cafe is a small cafe where you can socialize with adoptable rescue cats while enjoying a handcrafted beverage and European style pastries. All of the cats and kittens at the cafe are rescued by either our staff or the Humane Society.
“We are dedicated to changing the lives of sheltered cats by finding them forever homes, and educating the public about responsible pet ownership.”
Adopting cats from our cafe opens up space to rescue more cats. Together, we’re reducing euthanasia rates. Hawai‘i Cat Cafe allows potential adopters to get to know the cats’ personalities in a fun environment. Cats have significantly more exposure and opportunities to be adopted.
Prepare for Your Visit
Come hang out in Hawaii's first and favorite cat cafe! Play and cuddle with our adorable kitties from the Hawaiian Humane Society, and hopefully fall in love with one to take home!
Saving Your Spot
We highly recommend that you arrive 10 minutes early to read and sign the waiver. We do accept walk-ins, but we highly recommend that you make a reservation. We limit the amount of people in the Cat Lounge to ensure the safety and happiness of the cats.
COVID-19 Procedures
Masks/face coverings are required. You will be required to provide proof of vaccination along with a matching ID upon arrival for your visit. You must be fully vaccinated, which means that your last dose was received at least 2 weeks prior to your visit. Children under 12 years old are exempt. Refunds will not be issued for failure to provide proof of vaccination.
Age Restriction
Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No more than 2 children under 12 per one adult will be allowed in the Cat Lounge. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Parking
We have 3 reserved spots in the back of the building. If those are full, Kapahulu Avenue has lots of available metered street parking, and First Hawaiian Bank next to us has a pay to park option.
Best Time to Visit
Want a playful and fun interactive experience? Visit us when our cats are most active, either during our first sessionof the day at 11am, or our last session of the day at 5pm or 6pm.

How to Adopt
To help you and the cats find a good match, potential adopters are required to meet and spend time getting to know the cats before applying to adopt. You can meet the cats by visiting during our regular hours. We recommend making a reservation, but we do accept walk-ins based on availability.
View Available Cats
All of the cats & kittens at the cafe are adoptable rescue cats. Click here to view available cats. If you are looking for a specific cat you saw on Hawaiian Humane Society website, but it is not in our album, that means it has already been adopted. We can not guarantee that any specific cat will still be available upon your visit, and we do not hold cats.
